Mobilising Armies. this is a strategy RPG (role play game) but this RPG is inside an MMORPG ( Mass Multiplayer Online Role Play Game,) we all know as RuneScape (this is an MMORPG =P)
now this game,is alot like the FunOrb game, Armies Of Gielinor, also known as A.O.G. in this new mini-game you can control mass armies of upto 90 warriors. the only difference between other minigames and this one is, you have absolutely no direct roll in this game. you control what happens but your RuneScape Character does nothing in it. first, when you go there you talk to Junior Cadet Mal. this game can be reached by a dueling ring, a lvl 10 teleport in your default spell book, or by Spirit Tree. once you talk to J.C. mal, you will be taken into an M.A. tutorial. after you learn the basics your off one your own!
after you do the tutorial you'll be on your own! from here, you want to go down to the recruitment house. here there are 3 tables, Elven, Dwarven, and goblin. you can recruit any mixture of armies up to 10 squads. from here your go over to a tent east of the entrance, and select your special units, you can get, Gnome Glider Suicide Bombers, (yes its exactly as it sounds, gnome gliders bomb your enemy by crashing into them...) you also get cannons, the mithril dragon distractor which distracts all near by squads, including your own, for about 45 secs- 1min. you get chompas, set them on your enemy and watch them explode, and you get baracades to close in your enimies. choose wisely though, you only get 5 spacial units!
now here are some tricks and tips to win the day! I've been the last person on the map 2 outta the 5 times I've played. when you start theres 40 squads, 10 each player. the more you bet when you start the more you'll win every time your defeat a squad. now here are MY tricks and tips!
- stack armies: make all your armies mobilize in 1 spot so on the mini map it looks as if theres only 1 army in that location, but once the enemy is over there, they can see how many armies you truly have.
- don't fight until another team attacks you.
- send 1 squad to hunt for treasure, they heal your squads if they find any and they boost up your reward credits in the end.
- if fighting a lower number of squads than your squads in that area, ex. you have you have 6, blue team has 3, send 2 squads to fight for every 1 so that they are definitely out numbered.
- if the opposing team starts to retreat to THEIR base, you stand your ground because theres sure to be more where they came from.
- only use special units when ABSOLUTELY necessary. like the odds in your favor are 2:1.
- if your choose 5 barricades for your special units, box in stacked squads from 3 sides and attack from the open side.
- save your strongest soldiers for last.
- always pick "heavy' over "light" when picking the class for your soldiers, "heavy soldiers" have stronger attacks, and endurance.
- try to pick a combo thats even to your odds. or go with all one race, i go with elves. lvl 1, cmb lvl: 350. HP 1110. max hit on dwarves, 150. dwarves max hit on elves, 65. max hit on goblins, 110, goblins max hit on elves, 55.
- if your not sure about the surrounding area move your camera and scan the battle Field so you know where you stand.
- only attack if there is only 1 team left, your sure you can win, or your attacked first. i always wait for these 3 signals of being able to win a game;
- if the squads remaining is say, 12, and you have 7/10 of your army left, you have a good chance of winning.
- if a team is trying as hard as they can to avoid you, they know you can beat them.
- and finally, if theres only 2 squads left in play, one is yours and one is an enemies, you have to confront them, if your last squad is heavy elves, than you have a great chance if your fighting light elves, heavy dwarves heavy goblins, light goblins, and light dwarves. so go for it, worst case is you come in second, the rewards are still great!
now there are other things that apply, like level, you can reach a rank of 500, which means you've completed 500 battles, and you are the highest rank of all, every 100 levels your special forces, and your main armies go up a level making them more powerful. but more expensive. and also, if you leave a game early, you lose all your army scrolls, and have to buy 10 new squads for about 100 investments each. but they cost goes up every 100 levels, lvl 1-99 costs 100 then lvl 100-199, is 200 etc. to get investment credits your must give Junior Cadet Mal a "commodity". the commodities i get are HardLeather Bodies. buy about 300 from the GE and you get about 20k investment credits. stripped feathers, mithril sqr Shields, rune javelins, and fire runes are other common investment items. i was scrolling through the list of commodities and i saw a Dragon Full Helm, i was like, aren't those about 33-40M? that would get you, 1billion credits lol. this game can be a waste of money, but every 100 levels you get amazing new surprise gifts which I'm not sure what they are, but you also get cool clothes, and other items from reward credits. so go down to mobilising armies and try your luck! its a little confusing your first go, but i promise, once you play about 3 games, you'll know exactly what your doing!
this was Brom8889 with the first Minigame Guide of The Week for TRSWB. I'm glad that this new game came out just in time for it! so go play it and ill see you next week with Castle Wars!
