Barrows Guide...

now, this is a subject i've been e-mailed about since the 2nd post. so ever since then, ive been spending 2 hours a day at this famous burial ground located deep within the Mort Myre Swamplands of Morytania. and i dont mind bragging on that i've acquired full veracs from doing so lol. well this guide will cover all the do's and dont's of the barrows, who to fight and with what, and of course... the dreaded barrows labyrinth.

so lets start with how to get there. since this is a very unique guide there will be maps of Mort Myer swamp posted at the bottom of the site under picture of the week, which i must say is a very good one this week. so you start by finishing the Priest in Peril quest talked about in the first post, from there, you get everything you need. VERY strong armor and food, pots, super sets (id recommend for lvl 85-95) now, from canifis, take the northern trail leading towards fenkenstrain castle. once u come to where the town ends, go south into the swamp. now id bring a satchel if you finished Tower of life Quest. satchels hold food and would be good to keep as an extra. it does take up the shield space but the Ghasts might attack the low level food in the satchel. it only happened like 2 out of the 7 times i went recently but its better than losing monk fish or sharks! so once you make your way through the swamp, (map will be posted showing route at bottom of site) you'll come across a plagued swamp town. run through it and watch out for loar shades. not very strong but still annoying. dont attack you'll need all your health for barrows. i almost forgot, before the afflicted town there is a maze type trail. really you just walk along it until you reach the town. but if you've done the last myreque quest you Can take a shortcut to the barrows from canifis. but since i havent done that quest, i dont think ill be very good at explaining that. so anyway. the barrows is VERY fooling. youll arrive to an field with 6 grassy knolls, and an old man with a scythe, swinging away. now i almost forgot the most important peice of equipment at the barrows... a spade. bring a spade, stand on top of one of the knolls, then dig. youll be dropped into the barrows tomb! (map of which knoll is which brother's tomb will be posted as well)

well... your in a ghosts tomb... and his pissed that you are... so what do you do. take out a big piece of metal and start beating him to F*** with it. first off, heres the brothers level.

Guthan:115
Verac: 115
Torag: 115
Dharok: 115
Ahrim: 98
Karil: 98

so. now that you know whos who, you can start fighting. if you build up a kill count, the more of a chance your going to get something good in the labyrinth. now your total kills is displayed at the bottom left of screen. it took me like... 20 kill count on brothers to get veracs flail. and next to Torag hammers thats the cheapest thing in there at the moment. so, once you've chalked up a few kills, then you can go find the labyrinth. just search each brothers tomb until you drop into it. this is the hardest part. your mini map is turned off, no summoning allowed, no pets, nothing, and to top it off... prayer gets drained! ya... real basket of roses aint it? so. this labyrinth is like a POH dungeon to the max. locking corridors, tons of monsters, and to make it even better, the 6 brothers randomly appear to try to stop you! if you can get to the center without dying, then good job, but theres a puzzle on the door you have to solve... very strait forward, but theres also alot of things attacking you also. so if you get interrupted, guess what, new puzzle. theres 4 puzzles total. but i had to keep searching the maze because i had to guess the puzzle. the maze resets itself when the puzzle is failed. but great news. if you guess right, which there is a 3-1 ratio that you wont, but if you do,you in the barrows vault! open the chest, take your loot and run out of there because the cave starts to collapse! theres a short time where you can do home teleport, but make it as soon as you get you prize! sit down, and tele!

well, you made it out of the barrows. good job. now if you got like, 300 death runes, a rune scim, and who else knows what, but NO barrows armor or weps. sell the stuff you did get, resupply and head to it again. you do it once you can do it again! now my tactic to the labyrinth, is go around the outside rim for 2 doors then head to the center and take it from there. because only certain doors are unlocked in a room and some rooms dont even have unlocked doors. the barrows honestly just a cruel ass game of your wits. but after you get used to it, maybe 3 or 4 times... your in and out within 15 mins with fighting brothers, and 10 mins with the maze. now, each brother has a special power. im only sure of 3,

Guthan: Steal YOUR hitpoints and refills his own.
Dharok: giant hands or something smash you and drain your strength, and i think refills his.
Verac: drains your prayer, and strength refills his own.

now if you manage to get full set of the barrows armor, there special ability will be at your control... but when it happens, is completely random. but guthans does happen alot. when i sued full guthan i didnt need food at blue drags for about, idk, 3 hours. so id suggest guthan, or veracs armor. now here's a list of the items i suggest you bring!

Phoenix necklace, ring of life, tele tab to anywhere, sharks or monkfish, strong ass armor and weapons like whips, saradomin swords, and god swords, super sets.

with the extra items youll have about 20 spaces for food. but the ghasts in the swamp will rot some of your food along the way. well this is the guide to the barrows. hope it helps you!
